The following plans provide a framework for development within the Cessnock Local Government Area (LGA).

Development Control Plan

A Development Control Plan provides detailed planning and design guidelines to support the planning controls in the Local Environmental Plan.

The Cessnock Development Control Plan 2010 (DCP) is applicable to the entire LGA.

Community Participation Plan

The Community Participation Plan (CPP) sets out how we engage with our community as a planning authority. The CPP is aimed at making it easier for the community to understand when they can get involved in planning matters.
