Volunteer with us
Volunteers provide an irreplaceable service. Volunteering benefits communities, the economy, and increases social cohesion. Volunteering expands people’s social networks, provides opportunities to gain valuable experience, and enables people to develop new skills which can lead to employment.
Cessnock City Council facilitates a number of community-based committees to assist with the operation of some of its facilities, such as tennis courts and community halls, Marthaville Arts and Cultural Centre, and Tidy Towns. Council also facilitates volunteering opportunities at our libraries and other facilities.
Council appreciates and values the assistance and efforts of volunteers from the Cessnock LGA and considers it a crucial partnership in looking after the many Council facilities and areas enabling programs and community events that are so valued by the community.
