Air pollution
Air pollution includes discharges of dust, smoke, soot, and fumes or odours.
Sources may include backyard burning, emissions from commercial and industrial premises, domestic solid fuel heaters and open fireplaces.
Different organisations are responsible for the investigation of air pollution
Cessnock City Council is responsible for the investigation of:
- air pollution and odours from small business, including dust
- domestic wood and coal fires
- backyard burning
