The week will kick off with Immerse Yourself in Nature’s Symphony on 13 August from 6.00-8.00pm at Performance Arts Culture Cessnock (PACC). Renowned naturalist Andrew Skeoch will present an enchanting exploration of birdsong, offering attendees a unique auditory experience that delves into the world of bird species and their behaviours.
Kurri Kurri Library will host a Hands-On Plastic Recycling Workshop for Kids on 14 August from 4.00-5.00pm. Led by Jess from Resourceful Living, this interactive session will teach children about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling plastic.
The week will conclude with an exclusive presentation about vertical farming by Cory Robertson of BoomaFood on 15 August from 6.00-6.45pm at Cessnock Library. Attendees will learn about modern farming techniques, Indigenous entrepreneurship, and the benefits of incorporating native herbs and crops into agricultural practices.
