Background
Anderson Avenue, Paxton received $580,000 under the ‘Active Transport to School - Get Active NSW’ Grant funded by Transport for NSW, to construct a pathway which will encourage children to safely walk and ride to school.
Scope of Works
The walking path at Anderson Avenue, Paxton includes:
- 1.8m wide walking pathway
- 90m in length from the corner of Paxton Public School to the corner of McDonald Ave and Anderson Avenue
- Removal of guardrail
- Completion of kerb and gutter to Paxton Public School
- Connection to Paxton Park
Location
Traffic Management
Traffic control and reduced speed limits will be in place for the duration of the works to ensure resident and pedestrian safety. This may cause minor traffic delays along portions of Anderson Avenue.
There will also be restricted access for pedestrians and bicycle riders along the northern side of Anderson Avenue. Access and parking restrictions will be in place adjacent to the work site.
Residents will be notified for how this project will impact their everyday use of this road whilst construction works are ongoing.

The project budget has been entirely funded by the ‘Active Transport to School - Get Active NSW’ Grant which has been endorsed by Transport for NSW.
